About Janet

In my early twenties I gained interest in the works of some of the leading figures in psychology, meditation masters, as well as indigenous perspectives on health. After years of study and inward searching, I came to the realization that our highest good in life comes with developing self-awareness, having a sense of purpose, and expanding our awareness to the world around us. I worked hard to integrate these new insights into my own psychological makeup and stabilize in the deeper understanding that I received from my years of personal work.

Since 1997, I began my professional work as a therapist working with individuals, couples, children, and families. I am originally from Chicago, but have lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for most of my life. I have come to embrace this land and life as my own.

I’ve always been interested in all forms of art, as well as in the health benefits of creativity. Through my Creative Therapy I focus on the ways people can heal through use of the imagination and the various forms of creative expression. I combine this right brain approach with left brain more analytical methods.  My therapy is Holistic in nature and recognizes the individual as multidimensional – having a body, mind, and soul.
